Linking Pay Pall to the cart
Author: Jerry R.x5 Pro v14
How do I connect PayPal to the cart ?
In window 'payment type' (shopping cart) after selecting PayPal in the field PayPal Account only e mail format is accepted. What e-mail must be enterd there ? PayPal accounts are not in e-mail formats !
I have PayPall account ID. Where do I use it on the web site ??? I understand that PayPal account number links the web site to the payment service PayPal, and there is no place in the softwere where to enter it !!!
I got Buy Now button code from PayPal,.. it is set for one item one price .... how do I link it to the cart. What if I have many items to sell at different prices ? That would have to be set while creating the Buy Now button at PayPal site.
Therefore what for is the shopping cart in the X5 pro v14?
I want to sell digital product for download for the buyers. And I want use PayPal,....
Why do I need the Buy Now button from PayPal at all ? Once I have selected PayPal in the "payment type' window my web site should be atomatically linked to PayPal through my PayPal account.
I am extremly dissapointed that such logic expectations are not met in this software.
You just have to write your e-mail adress (the one you have jused to register in PP with) into the field, and then you have the pay now button in the shoppingcart.
Hello Jerry R.,
Like Christine suggested you need to enter the email you used to register your paypal account in the program in the payment section in PayPal as payment method and the program will generate all the code to make it work.
Many thanks!

The field asks for PayPal account and I am supposed to enter there my e-mail address I used when creating PayPal account !!!
This is not very clever. For example Claudio D if konowig my email address he can use it in his websie to connect to my PayPal account. And there plenty of people who know my e-mail address.
I found out, there is another way. Insted of selcting PayPal in the "payment type" window, selct "custom script". And that custom HTML script is the BuyNow buttom script you can create at PayPal. And this links the PayPal button to the Cart. Amazing and there is nowhere explanation nor suggestion to do it that way.
I undestand Incomedia is stingy, they did not want to waste money on providing such information. I wasted 3 days to find out.
I will still try to link by the email if Claudio say it is safe.
After payment is made,... what trigers the e-mail sent to buyer where he gets link to download?
Hello Jerry R.,
This is how PayPal works and they use as ID always the email for every account.
Once you receive the payment in case of a digital Product you need to login in the admin section of your website and process the order and then the email to the customer with the download link will be sent.
Many thanks!
