Creating A Copy Of A Page That Points Back To Original Page To Put In Level 2 Of Sitemap  en

Hi All,

I want to create a copy of a page that is in Level 1 of my sitemap to put in Level 2 of my sitemap so it has the same URL as the original page so when users click on the link it takes them to the original page. The problem is when I copy the page in 3 Map and put it below Level 2 it is created as a new page with a different URL. So in my case I want to copy the "Contact Us" page that is in Level 1 and have the same page linked in Level 2 an X5 just creates a new page all together which is what I don't want. See attachment.

Thanks for your help in advance!

Cheers,

Richard

Richard, why not simply create a new level under level 2, rename it Contact Us, highlight it, click properties and link it to the original Contact Us page?

I am assuming you only want one contact page on the site.

Hi Esahc ..,

Yes, I only want one Contact Us page on the website.

How would I create a new level under level 2, rename it Contact Us, highlight it, click properties and link it to the original Contact Us page? I need the Contact Us page in the menu I put in my footer, which is all the Level 2 items, without losing the Contact Us menu item? Would I use a <meta> tag like this:

<meta http-equiv="refresh"content="0; URL='http://new-websitepage.com/newpage.html'"/>

If so can I use that but with https like so:

<meta https-equiv="refresh"content="0; URL='https://new-websitepage.com/newpage.html'"/>

Thanks for your help!

Cheers,

Richard

Richard, from your screen shot, in step3Map, highlight Contact Us under Level2, click new level (should create level3), now highlight Contact Us and click remove, then highlight Level3 right click and rename to Contact Us, with it still highlighted, click preference (last button, right hand side), select Link, select Website, select the Contact Us page.

In the menu it will look like any other menu item, but when clicked both will take the user to the same Contact page.
