User can log in to the protected pages, but after leaving the page and returning later on, he has to log in again.

I got the cookie bar installed, and add members manualy.

What is the problem?

The user self needs to accept cookies and don't delete them after visit. It's probably a setting on the user site (browser of user).

So inform user if he complaints, let the user set your website as trusted. and see that cookies are accepted.

best regards,

Well, i tried this on several pc's and mobile phones from our members, but they all have the same problem.

After deleting the cookies from the browser, the first time you come on the site, you get the cookie banner.

After clicking that, and logging in to the protected area everything works just fine.

After closing the browser, and coming back to the site, the cookie bar is gone ( as it should yes?) but you still have to log in again.

This happens on many browsers like , Explorer, Chrome and Opera.

I included a screenshot.

Thanks,

Paul

Is the website hosted on a secure page? (https)  then all is coded and you need to keep loging on every time.

Nope, it is not,

en zie nu dat ik net zo goed Nederlands tegen je kan typen, haha.

Zie de screenshot.

Ik zou je eventueel toegang kunnen geven tot een beveiligde pagina van de site, zodat je het zelf kan zien wat er gebeurt ?

Hello Paul,

The login cookie is deleted automatically when you close the browser since this has an expiration for security purposes while the banner cookie is always stored until you delete it.

Many thanks!

Hi Claudio,

is there a way to change the expiration date for the login cookie?

Hello Paul,

no it cannot be changed since it's a session cookie which the browsers automatically delete when you close the browser to avoid someone else can see the content of private pages without the login informations.

Many thanks!
