Keep Main Menu Style On All Pages

I am so stuck. I have read through the manual 3 times, (no joke) but I am missing something, (I am so new at this).
THE PROBLEM:(Using Evol 13) We are using one of the simple templets which I configured for the menu to be at the top and horizontal (see the page with the giraffe) . When I attempt to add a new page I loose the top menu style, (menu contents stay correct) and the entire site changes to a drop down type style menu, (see the page with white tiger).
I am wanting to get the menu at the top with the buttons I created in “Step 2, Template, Customization, Main Menu Style” , as shown in on the giraffe page below.
I cannot believe I am missing this, as I am sure its right in front of my face.
Any help is GREATLY appreciated !

Marcus, in V13 all the menu items must fit in the available space, otherwise you get the toaster menu. If you can make your page names smaller (one word) all should fit, otherwise you'll need to make the page wider and each button wide enough to accomodate each page name.
It doesn't help much, but V14 copes with this situation much better, even allowing multi line menus for when all the buttons won't fit on one line.
