Issues with cart/orders  en

HI,

Please reference these threads

For some reason I can no longer reply to those threads.

In a nutshell, when orders are placed in my online shop, I receive the order, but it cuts off after 37 items, so some of the order is missing.
This has resulted in me putting up a message on my website for customers to complete the order after 30 items and then start a new one. Then I compile the orders together.

Not ideal.

I tried everything suggested to remedy the solution, but to no avail.
Even changed website host.

So my question is if v15 will solve this issue?
I'd love to upgrade from v11 to take advantage of some of the features that make it easier to use, but in the end, as mu business grown, so do the orders and it's a pain for the customers to have to much around to get their order through.

Thanks
Martin

Hi Martin,

I'm sorry about the fact that your topics had been closed, so I will proceed to try and help you on this new one.

First of all, I went through all of the previous topic, and I'd say "No". A version change will not fix the issue that seems to be presenting here.

As the last message of my colleague it reads :

"About your issue, I tested a project on your hosting space and the same on another hosting provider and the orders arrives incomplete on your hosting space but on another it arrives complete.

The developers thinks it depends on a limit on the POST header set on your hosting provider. Try to contact them to ask i the limit can be increased for the POST header to allow you to receive then bigger orders."

I need to ask you, have you tried to change hosting in the mean time or get in contact with them about this issue?

From what I see, the browser cache was not your problem in this case, but on other hostings, it was working fine, so the project itself is also fine.

I would need to know if you already contacted your host expressing this issue.

Please do let me know

Thank you

Stefano

Hi Stefano,

Between threads I changed hosting providers to see if that resolved the issue, but it made no difference.

The provider I am with at the moment seems very good and quickly resolves any issues I've had since I've been with them.
I will contact them and ask them to increase the limit on the post header and see if that makes a difference.
I'll let you know what happens.

Regards

Martin

That worked.
Thanks.

I just placed 3 orders - one of which was 220 items and it came through perfectly.

I am now able to finally upgrade my software.

For your information, here is the message from my hosting provider (GoDaddy)

"Thank you for the follow-up on the matter. I reckon that your developer was referring to the post_max_size value, which we have further increased from 64M over to 512M ( though the previous limit should be enough as well ) along with it I have further increased some other values as well so could you please give it another try and update us if it's still not working as expected?

If you could also provide us with steps to replicate the issue at our end, perhaps we will be able to isolate the exact cause of the error."

Thanks again
Martin
