Hi!
My target is to minify the loading time of the page.
I have several images on the page. I put little images on the page. When a visitor clicks on an image the Showbox opens. The bigger images are loaded through Showbox.
The question is if this is a good solution to minify loading time of the page. Any suggestions?
Does a browser load only little images and the big images are loaded only after a click?
Or does the browser load little + big images at once and slow down the loading time?

Hi Dmitrij,
Optimizing images to improve loading time is always a good idea. Until now I've relied on WebsiteX5 to do this for me, but Google's Pagespeed Insights learned that there's room for improvement.
For showboxes, use 2 images! One that is optimized for display on the page and the same image, optimized for display in the showbox.
Also check if compression is enabled on the webserver. Contact your hosting provider and ask him. After that you might have to make some changes to the .htaccess-file.
see https://developers.google.com/speed/docs/insights/EnableCompression
Lastly check if browser caching is enabled on the webserver.

Good luck!

Hi Robert!
Thanks a lot for your suggestions.
All mentioned stuff on server side and in .htaaccess are enable.
I also added some lines for compression on server to your post https://helpcenter.websitex5.com/en/post/189376
Here I´m just curious regarding image/Showbox. Thanks for your confirmation of my thoughts.
