Hi

Back in 2009, the Local Authority paid to have websites created for numerous preschools in Kent. The Incomedia website x5 Evolution programme was loaded onto laptops and we created our own websites. Ours is still running but unfortunately the laptop is becoming obsolete.

Please advise how we can transfer the wesite programme onto our new replacement laptop so that we can continue to update and change our existing website.

Many thanks

Tracy Harris

Hi Tracy,

thank you for contacting us.

First you need to install the programm onto the new PC. To do this, you will need to log in to the Help Center using the e-mail address and password you have used to register your licence. You will find the licence in the section "My licences" and the download link in the section "Downloads".

As to the project, first you need to export the project iwzip file on the first PC. You can do this on Step 5. After that, you will need to save the iwzip you just exported on a hard dirve, so to trasnfer it on the new PC. On the second PC, please start the program, then choose "Import" to import the project.

Thank you. Kind regards.

Tracy, further to Elisa's instruction, if your version of Evolution is v9 or (hopefully) later, it can be exported and the iwzip then imported into v15 evolution that meets today's web requirements for support of html 5, web fonts, reponsive design, etc. with undesireable features like flash removed.

This would be a very cost effective way of upgrading your site/s.

(if you are currently using v8 or earlier, then unless someone on this board can assist, the site/s will need to be manually recreated)
