Blog card image is trimmed on the sides from desktop to mobile view  en

In the version 15 blog, I used a horizontal image for blog cards. While they look good in full desktop view, the sides are cropped off in mobile view and became vertical images. Is there any way to show the entire image without cropping off the sides in all responsive views?

On my blog setting under "Main Page", I used "Card height= 900". "Cover size % = 80", "Cover margin = 0;10".

See my blog: http://www.kurtyphotography.com/blog

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Kurt, if you are using an image in the cover field, I do not believe you can control whether or not the sides are cropped off as the resolution in reduced.

Of course images within the blog itself are scaled as the resolution is reduced and so do not get cropped.

If I am incorrect (or someone has a clever workaround) I am sure they will add to this post.

Of course you can create an idea post requesting that the way the cover image functions be modified so that it is scaled rather than cropped.

The side get's cropped the height not.

Incomedia / X5 should crob the complete picture or not (scroll option) But not just 1 part, that makes the picture look bad. That is the issue Kurt has as i believe.

i think Incomedia needs to answer this.

But as Esahc say's I think the best way is to make an IDEA post. ( I could set this one as IDEA post as well if you wish Kurt.

Best Regards

Thanks to both Esahc and Andre for answering the question. Yes, please set this as an Idea post, so that the cover image is scaled rather than cropped both horizontally and vertically.

In the meantime, my workaround is to choose an image that looks right when the sides are cropped off.
