Saving project in a single data file

Everytime I try to save my project work it Website X5 Evolution 12 produces a single file. I used to be able to see all data files saved under one directory but since I did few updates, I noticed I can only save the work into one single compressed file.
Can anyone tell me how to avoid saving my project work into one single file please?
Many thanks

If you click save, multiple files will be saved
EG
Under step5 Export
If you upload to the web (upload website to the internet) a backup should be created in the backup folder (single file).
If you instead choose to export website to disk, then all the files required to display your website will be exported to a folder of your choice (& if you navigate to it and double click on index then it should open in your default browser). This is not suitable for opening/importing into WX5
BUT
If you select Export the project, a single compressed iwzip file is created. This is the BEST form of backup, it includes everything you need to recreate the project even on another PC, and is the only way to upgrade between editions. This iwzip file is a bullet proof backup. It is so good I would recommend renaming them by adding the date and keeping multiple copies (preferably not all on the local HD). With this file you can recreate your project/site irrespective of the catastrophe that may have occured - from a new HD to a new PC, even a new version of WX5

It doesn't matter how I save my work, either by saving it or exporting it, it is saved as one compressed file.

Abderrahmane, are you sure you are looking in the correct folders? WX5 only saves a single compressed file if you select step5 Export, Export Project.
By default WX5 saves exported projects (iwzip) in c:\Website X5 - Projects
BUT
The actual projects are saved in my documents\Incomedia\Website X5 v12 - Evolution (by default), and within these folders you will find your project files. Inside your project folder you will also find a backup folder with the backups created every time you upload via the built in FTP

I just realised that WX5 files were saved by default in the following folder as multiple files as you said:
C:\Users\<user name>\Documents\Incomedia\WebSite X5 v12 - Evolution\...
Many thanks for your support.

Dahmane, thanks for letting us know.
But please, use step 5 export, export the project frequently. This will create the iwzip file that you are familiar with (you can change where it is saved easily). This iwzip file will enable you to recover from ANY catastrophe (or upgrade with eases)!!
Backups (created every time you upload your project to the web via the built in FTP) only work "most" of the time :-)
Have a great day!
