Hello. I think there is a small problem with Evolution 16.0.4 and the way it handles a footer in Windows Explorer.
On some of my web pages the footer appears part way up the page, obscuring the side menu.
This only happens on pages with less than a full page of content.
This problem does not exist in ‘Preview’, or in Microsoft Edge or in Chrome - which display perfectly.
Help please, Regards, Malcolm

Malcolm, is it possible to provide a link to the live website so we can check this (does CTRL+F5 clear this issue)?
IE is no longer supported, maintained or updated, but this is the first I have heard of it's failure to render modern web pages and I cannot reproduce the problem with any of my existing websites (thankfully).

Hi Esahc
Thanks for the prompt response
Links to two website affected:-

CTRL+F5 makes no difference

Malcolm, not only can I see the problem in IE11, I can reproduce it!! I have included a test project in case Incomedia wish to see an easy example of the problem but I wasn't thinking so it is in PRO sorry). The problem does not exist in preview, chrome or Firefox, only IE. What is more, it is not possible to see the footer at all when IE is used to view at less than desktop resolution.
Yes it is a bug if Incomedia is still supporting IE (I guess we will find out soon). I have marked this post for Incomedia's attention.
If it was me I would be trying to move away from the sidebar menu (which would solve your issue), you already know that this is not going to offer a suitable result for tablet and mobile views, so why not design a multi-row horizontal menu that could be used at multiple resolutions rather than the toaster bar? You could even break it down and have some menus only on some pages.
This website http://mountwaverleyrotary.org has multi-row menus right down to mobile view, and supplemental menus on "groups" of pages (& it works in IE :-)

Hi Malcolm, Esahc,
Thank you for the test project. It was very helpful and permitted me to immediately individuate a report the issue.
The developers are already looking into this, and I will be sure to notify you here as soon as news about this behavior is available
Thank you

Hi Esahc
Thanks for thoughts about a multi-row horizontal menu. Not considered this - and will have a play around. However, I don't think it will work too well with Rykneld Bowling Club because it uses a picture in the header - as opposed to Waverly who only have a 'thin' header.
Stephano thanks for note that developers are checking.
Regards Malcolm
Eashc, is your mountwaverleyrotary menu the standard menu object, no additional code?
Adrian
Adrian - just bog standard WX5, every resolution.

Easch. Would you please be so kind as to obtain an update from the developers on the problem regarding positioning of the footer. Best regards. Malcolm
Aaaahh - to have such powers :-)
I am sure there will be an answer in due course.

Esach. Help please. I opened this post on 2 July 2018 - and it is still outstanding. Can you obtain an update on progress please?
Malcolm, sadly there will be no update until the issue is fixed, at which time I presume a new program update will be released. Unfortunately Incomedia appear to have a number of anomolies to rectify. eg https://helpcenter.websitex5.com/en/post/196740
