Hi together,

i feel like it's a downgrade from version 13 to 16, why? In version 13 i had all my pictures automatically resized after saving my project, now, i have to run this optimizer each time i add a new photo, or i finish to have a 20mb(original size) product images, this is a pitty..

If anyone found a solution to this problem, please let me know. Some feedback if this can be fixed with an update to the 16version?

Thanks to all of you for time and effort accorded to this project.

Rgds

Oleg, most of us are old-school. We resize/resample to a suitable resolution before using the image (irfanview does the trick for me), but I am increasingly using google photos which are nicely reduced in size automatically (my PC synchronises all my photos automatically)

Hi Oleg,

You're probably not talking about the same feature the Optimizer was made for, since no such functionality was ever present in the software in v13.

The optimizing tool does the following, according to the type of optimization you choose.

It can either simply remove every backup from the project, cut the images you currently have down to the sizes it is supposed to fill inside the project, or even merge them together with whatever filter you might have used on it inside the software to have the images load faster.

Still, if you own very big images to import, I would suggest you already reduce those prior to using them in the software, in order to avoid having to optimize the project everytime.

Also, you don't need to run it after every add. You can simply optimize them after you've finished working on the whole project

Hope I've been helpful

Stefano
