When I add an image to a cell, it doesn't show up in the Preview as a photo. It only shows image icon.

I'm having difficulty adding images to a page and being able to see it in preview mode. I've tried cropping smaller, to no avail. It only shows the image icon upon preview. It does show the image in the small preview window in the image editor, but not in the page preview. Please help!

Mary, please describe what you are attempting.
Are you adding an image object to a cell like this?
and then selecting an image from here?
OR
Are you perhaps using some other object or perhaps even placing an image in a text object?

Are you trying to add a background image to a page or cell??
What is the file type of the image (eg: jpg, bmp, png, gif, etc)?
Yes, the program has always had some problems when generating the preview, what you comment is somewhat normal, it happens to me regularly and what seems to fix the issue is to click to select the object before the preview, as you could see, when an object is selected, you can se a little preview on the lower right, if that preview is ok, the full preview will most likely work ok.
Also *and very important* is to name each of the project's images differently, no matter the section that it will be used, X5 seems to confuse images and/or not to show them correctly if it finds that the same name has been used in another place of the website.
