Page Background colour is not as selected in Template Structure
Author: Unique KerbingI recently changed the template I used for my website and updating to V16
I now have a couple of problems that I cant seem to fix.
The main issue is that the background colour has carried over from the old website template (green) - I have selected the Page Background (in template structure) to be white (as well as clear and other colours) but the background will not change when displayed? I would love to get this fixed and the green does not work with the new colour scheme.
my website is www.uniquekerbing.com.au
Secondly after updating to 16.2.1 today alot of the header and footer text is no longer aligned properly (template content) and I have had to have it displaying odly to get it to display properly once uploaded - this works and looks OK once uploaded but was / is annoying.
did you clear all the files from your web host public_html folder before republishing? if not I would think that may solve issue 1. You can use the cpanel of your server if it allows access, or use filezilla.

the problem exists before uploading and using the preview as well so I would think the problem is local to the software.
In step2Template/Template Structure is there a chance there is a filename? If so, right click, remove.
. . . but it is odd that the green is only visible on the home page. Did you do a full upload (not just new and changed). If you create a folder and export to disk (step5Export/Export the website to disk), when you open index.html are the sides of the homepage green?
When previewing sometimes it is necessary to hold ctrl down when you click preview to flush out old content, but you can also select a preview in your favourite browser to check.
I am not aware of any errors in display preview when compared to online view (v16.2.1 fixes known issues). Is it possible you are using an odd font that doesn't display correctly locally?

Thanks for the suggestions - Definatey no Image File, so that isnt the answer unfortunately.
Yes, I did do a full upload - but as mentioned previously the green shows up on the preview before uploading anyway and again only on the home page.
I have tried on a number of different browsers and still displaying the green background.
When I load up the project I do get an error message saying FAKE FONT NOT LINKED TO PROJECT - I have gone through every piece of text (as far as I know) and every text is Poiret One - I dont know how this can cause the background colour problem or if it may cause anothe problem but other than the background colour the website seems to display reasonably well online.
Thanks again for your suggestions - please dont give up as the green background is annoying.

As an additon, I just tried adding a background picture to see if that might override the green problem but the background picture I added displayed on every page except the home page, which remained green (Used Preview to check) - bugger
Won't you have inserted in ownership page > Graphics > it trains personalized formulations?
Giorgio - I reckon you are right, page properties, graphics tab :-)

Yep, thats it!
Thank you very much.
This would have been a setting from an earlier version of X5 inserted from the original template - I am so pleased to have this sorted.
Thanks again.
Ian.
Have you also resolved the "FAKE FONT NOT LINKED TO PROJECT" message? Perhaps a new post if this is still an issue (which I thought was resolved by v16.2.1)
