I like the animation on this site's home page http://auroinfotech.net/index.php and was wondering if it is possible to do this with website X5. As a newbie to the software I am not sure if/what objects to use.

Thanks

Derek, you could come close by reducing the header and header background to 0, using the row formats feature to run a movie or slideshow behind rows of cells, and using tabs in text cells to provide a slideshow of the overlayed text (the text slideshow cannot be synchronised to the background slideshow). Unfortunately tabs in text cells is not available in Evolution.

My recommendation is to see how close you can come with Evo (we will assist and advise if we can) and then download the trial professional version and try it out if you specifically want scrolling text/graphics. I do not recommend purchasing Pro straight up because you may not get to the result you wish, so you should confirm whether it meets your needs first or perhaps hope that someone else on this helpcentre has a better suggestion.

Many thanks. I will take this on board and see what I can do. If I chose not to have a slider in the back ground would your suggestion work if I use a static image and the animated text object.

Regards

Derek

Derek, Pro has a feature where a text object can actually be a number of text objects displayed with tabs to select which one to see or as a slide show, this feature does not exist in Evo.

The only way I could imagine doing this is Evo (without code) would be to create a series of images each with the text and/or graphics you want on a transparent background, and then display as a slide show.

This example uses 2 different tabs in the one text cell.

(IT > EN) - Hello to all,
... ... in addition to what has already been said by Esahc, ... for the animations you could try the WebAnimator program;
... or insert texts directly in the images, and use any slideshows, even those in the Marketplace;
... or, if you are able to realize your presentation independently from the project and publish it on the web (example), then it would be very easy to integrate it into the project with my little and historical extra code, based on div_custom + iframe.

.

ciao
