New project blank page  en

Is there a way to create new project with totally blank HOME page?

When choosing “Create a new Project”, we are getting three “Blank” suggestions: Blank 1, Blank 2 and Blank 3. All of them have already generic objects in Header, Footer and Side Bar. So, in order to create the page I want (different from the suggested blank ones), I need to delete all objects included and get rid of the grey color.

Am I right? … or am I missing something …

Hi Thomas.

Although I'm unsure as if this is exactly what you are looking for, have you tried making use of the "No template" functionality?

You can find it under Properties for whatever page at Step 3. It presents you with a page with no template associated. Perhaps this might do for you?

keep me posted on what you think

Thank you

Stefano

Thank you, Stefano, for your response. I explain what I'm thinking about in details in this post.

I didn't know about "Create the Page without the template". I have tried it now, and it works! It's exactly what I needed. The option is pretty much hidden, though. It would be nice to have it right when starting the new project - as I suggest in the other post.

Thank you, Stefano!

Well, little correction:

What is described above will have to be done to every page. And that is, because of the "Template Content". If you don't check "Create the Page without the template" for every page, you will get Header, Footer and the Site Bar from the template. Which, of course, can be done. So I still suggest creation of the "totally blank template" available when creating new project.

G.Thomas, the problem with blank template is, how blank do you want it?

Attached is a blank template with no content, but it still has predifined areas (header, header background, footer, etc)

The Blank0 template attached has all sizes set to zero so there is no header, header background, footer, etc.

But it is far from blank. The default margins for each component are still set, the responsive page widths are still set, etc.

So the question exists, what do you consider to be a blank template?

It only took me 3 minutes or so to delete all content and remove all preset objects, my opinion is that with the "blank" templates provided by Incomedia it is extremely easy to remove, reshape or resize and create a template as blank as you need for the project.

Once saved just copy and rename any time you want your favourite blank template for a new project.

Thank you, Esahc.

What I mean is the possibility to start the program without any template! No pre-defined anything, no objects anywhere, no colors.

@Esahc,

I tried your Blank0.iwzip template and this is what I can and will use. Still, the option to start WebSiteX5 without any templates would be nice...

Thank you!
