How to reset Preference Folder again if lost

Hi
I am trying to open my existing Project . I have taken last time backup of this project but the file is in folder format
unfortunately by mistake i changed the preference folder
now i am unable to reset the same again. Since i m facing failure in choosing preference folder it doesnot display my existing project. Kindly Help in same

Heena, when WX5 first starts, click on Preferences and make the change.
