How can I set the height of shopping cart fields
Author: John W.Ricardo P was very helpful to a user named Andy about shopping cart field labels that are displayed. He said to go into the languages and you can change displayed field names there. I just played a little and started to get some results I wanted. For example, I found the line item for Countries. I was kind of irritated that the country field populated with Afghanistan, kind of disturbing. I know on the postal website, it will list USA first, well out of alphabetical order. So in the country code list, I added US, in front of all the others. And then in the country name list, I added United States, as the first entry. It worked. But when US is auto-filled, the state field now autofills with Alabama. To get around that, I made my first state code XX, and the first state name as "select one". But now the field order problem. If a customer from outside the US is filling in the data, state comes above country by a few lines, and you can only select US states. Not everyone is going to know to change the country to thus blank out the state field. So I moved the Country field above the state and zip code fields, and if you want to switch to Canada or anything else, the state field then goes blank. VERY NICE. I changed the name of the Notes field to Comments. So a nice learning experience this evening with a positive result. And I hope the info above will be helpful to others since it seems to be way beyond the instruction manual for the software. BUT NOW, my question. The "Notes" field is two lines high. All other fields are a single line high. I would actually like to make the Notes (Comments) field about 4 to 6 lines high so a customer knows he can type a short novel if needed. How can I set the height of a field?
And second question, all the settings I just changed in Languages, are these settings related to ONLY my open project, or are they software wide? Thus, when I decide to create a new project, do they carry over? I'm sure I will find out on my own when going onward, just thought I would toss the question in.
The entries in the language center are used for all projects in wx5. Different entries can be installed as a new language.
In addition, you should remember to export their language, because when upgrading new / expanded language files can be written and then the customizations must be re-entered. If you have given your language file its own name, a comparison with the standard entry is also possible after an import!

Unfortunately, the message field in e-commerce can not be changed, as it is possible in the contact form. You can, if you wish, report this as a suggestion.

Okay, thanks. Seems easy enough to add more comments fields. So maybe I can label them as "Enter product questions here", "Enter shipping needs here", etc. Defined fields for defined additional questions.
