PayPal does not allow user to log in  en

I am using the PayPal gadget that Incomedia supplies.

When the site is uploaded, the PayPal page offers an option to Log In if you already have a PayPal account.

However, when I click the Log In button, there is nothing on the screen that allows me to log in.

So, there appears to be a problem with Incomedia’s PayPal gadget.

Has no one else discovered this issue?

Hi Myron.

Unsure about whether you meant the PayPal buy button or the Donation one, I tested them both in order to sort out any kind of doubt. Still, I believe you are referring to the Donation one, this being the only PluginObject.

After configuring it, I could click on that, I was brought on the Paypal's login page and was asked whether I wanted to login or what.

I tested all the steps and could proceed without any issue. Where exactly is the issue showing for you? perhaps a screenshot of that could help me sort this out. If the problem appear once already on Paypal's page though, it might be that the issue was simply just with them and not the gadget itself, since it is but a simple customizable link to their service

Keep me posted on this

Thank you

Stefano

Hi Stefano,

I am using the PayPal Donate Object that I purchased directly from Incomedia. To understand my problem better, please watch the following YouTube video that clearly demonstrates what is going on:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1LMha4PzeiE&feature=youtu.be

After viewing the video, please get back to me with your solution.

Also, can you emplain why the Paypal Donate Object does not match what you show for sale in the Incomedia Marketplace.

Thank you.

Myron, this page appears to work as expected and I can login to paypal  https://www.calgaryprolife.com/donate/

- is this the same page causing issues in v17 on your PC?

If not, is it possible to put the problem page/site up in a temporary directory.

(I tried to reproduce the issue, but before adding the donate object I noted it needed updating, have you checked this?)

No, Esahc, this is NOT the correct page.

You need to go to www.adita.com/cpl and then click on the DONATE link.

Please get back to me after you check this out.

Also, can you explain why the PayPal Donate Object does not match what you show for sale in your Incomedia Marketplace?

One more note... I am using v.16 not v.17 of Website X5.

Myron - bad news for you, good news for Incomedia. The Donate now button immediately opens the login page for my password (although I did not donate :-)

Have you checked the object is fully up to date?

Is the date and time on your PC correct??

Could your a/v, malware or firewall protection be interferring with a clean connection to paypal?

Esahc, please refer to the attached screen shot.

As you can see, the Paypal Donate Object is fully up-to-date.

Can you explain why the PayPal Donate Object does not match what you show for sale in your Incomedia Marketplace? This is my third time asking this question.

Of course the date and time on my PC are correct.

I definitely have no antivirus, malware or firewall protection that would cause any problems for PayPal.

Myron, all I can say is your website lets me login to PayPal, does your other site I went to by mistake allow you to log in?

As for why the object does not look like the advert, I have no idea. Sadly I am only a user who has been elevated to moderator.

BTW did you ever resolve the v16 not saving issue in a previous post? If so, how?

Hi Esahc,

I have no problem logging in to the "other" site [https://www.calgaryprolife.com/donate/] as you can see in the attached screen shot. This login screen is what I expect to see from my "new" Incomedia website, however, it never comes up.

I have no idea why that previous problem with saving ever happened. All I know is that I now output a .iwzip file of my work in progress about every 10-15 minutes so that I won't lose too much in the event of a crash or a bug.

Thanks for your interest and continued support.

Hi Myron.

I might have missed something, but it seems to be that this is working just fine on your website too.

If I watched your videos carefully enough, I can see that once you click "log in", you get an error displayed:

In fact, all I had to do was insert the amount to donate up above in the page, and only then click "log in".

This way, the process moves on flawlessly:

Could you try this out for me and confirm it works for you too?

Thank you

Stefano

Hello Stefano,

I just tried to do what you suggested. I entered an amount first and then I clicked Log In under the option "Already have an Account, Log In."

IMPORTANT NOTE -- My screen does NOT look like yours, because your screen just says, "Log In to Paypal" whereas my screen says, "Already have an Account, Log In."

After choosing, "Already have an Account, Log In," I was taken to a "captcha" window where I entered the proper letters/numbers. Next, a second "captcha" window came up, asking me to enter an entirely different combination of characters!

After getting past the second "captcha" window, the proper PayPal Log In screen finally appeared.

Strange.

Next, I closed the Google Chrome browsing window and then opened Google Chrome again. I navigated to my website once more. This time, the PayPal donate page came up just like you have shown above, and I was able to proceed just as you did.

Interesting.
