Hi everyone,

I've upgraded to Professional but I'm still having trouble accessing the control panel. I downloaded Website X5 Manager; but when I scan the QR code it doesn't work and neither does adding manually.

Thank you for any help :)

Hi  Shakaela,
can be caused by an incomplete export. Try to export all the site files again.
Can you access from your browser to the "folder" /admin of your site? (ex. https://mysite.com/admin/ )
Sharing a link and / or screenshots may make more quickly troubleshooting problems.
I hope I was helpful. I am waiting for your kind feedback.

Have a good day.

Hi Gabriele,

I'm sorry this reply is extremely late; I'm a beginner, and didn't really understand, so lost the motivation that I can make my website possible. The website it not live yet, (it needs products availability to be changed before that). Is the Website X5 Manager only accessible after files are exported? And if so is it okay to export before the website is ready to be seen? I hope I don't frustrate you.

Thank you so much for your reply.

Hi Shakaela.

In general, if nobody knows the URL to your website there no real issue to uploading your website online.

Like this, you're also able to verify that everything works just like want it to online. Keep your URL private to the public until you wish to make it visible.

Also, yes. I can confirm that the Admin section will only become available once the website is online.

Try it out and let me know if you have any further doubt on this

Thank you

Stefano

A suggestion :

As long as you are testing, then you could create a subfolder for your site.

You then set your project ( in ftp settings)  to upload to the subfolder.

This will do, that even if someone uses the normal URL to your domain, then nothing will be seen.

And - when you are done testing, then you can delete the subfolder without being afraid to delete some files that should not be deleted.

It is just a suggestion.
