Hello Graham

X5 is not a "Website provider".

X5 is a tool for building websites.

X5 creates html-pages that can be uploaded. X5 has a built-in tool for this.

If you own a domain ( example www.yourdomain.com ) then you can have this domain hosted at a ISP ( Internet Service Provider )

If you does not pay the provider then the provider can remove your data on his server - but the domain will still be yours.

When you have/own a domain, then  you can have this domain hosted at the provider you choose.

If you start with a new ISP ( provider ) then there will be no data for a start.

You need a tool to build the data ( the website ).

X5 could be that tool.

So - the question is - do you own the domain name?

If/when you buy the X5, then there will be one years free hosting at one.com.

Normally when you make an order for hosting, then you can "move" your domain to that provider.

It is a "pointer" that is moved - it is not the existing data at the "old" provider.

You should download that data to your PC so you have the material ( images and texts ).

The data cannot be imported to X5 - but with X5 it is rather quick to build the website when you have the material ready.

Hello Graham,

unfortunately I must confirm John's message, it is not possible to import an existing website into WebSite X5. Still, you can save time by copying and pasting part of the online contents into a new WebSite X5 project.

Please let me know if I can be of further help. Kind regards.
