How to add fonts to Website X5 Evolution V17?  en

Please see attachment.  I need to correct fonts not in my web site project and I have seen:

"So, let's see how we can add the fonts from the SoftMaker's Webfont Essential  collection into the  text you have added  to your projects created using WebSite X5 (version 11-12)."

... and I have found ...

Now you can put real fonts on the web: The Webfont Essentials 2017 collection comes with a huge variety of webfonts that make your web site sizzle.  ($34.95).

I thought that SoftMaker's Webfont Essential collection was included in my puchase of WS X5 Evolution V17.

Where does this issue stand?

Stephen, copy all the files in your webfont essentials file to a suitable folder (if it is a zip file, open it and copy the files out).

In WX5 go to any text box, click on the font down arrow, select Other Font Types, click Add, select the Web Font Tab, browse to where you stored the fonts. Ideally they will have provided all the file types, but if not, select those available for each font.

Remember that these fonts you add are associated with only the project you have open, so the required fonts will need to be added to each project as required.

(my personal preference is to use google fonts rather than web fonts, so far it has been easier, faster and more reliable for me)

I do not have a webfont essentials file.  I thought that it came with WX5.  Am I wrong?

Stephen

I assumed you already had Webfont Essentials I'm sorry.

Why would you think that something offered for v11-v12 (no longer supported) would be included with a v17 purchase?

If you owned v11 or v12 and purchased Webfont Essentials then I see no reason why you cannot continue to use them whether they be web or locally based.

However

In v17 google fonts is far easier to use and implement (although you will need to change the font of existing text using these older fonts). Open sans is available and the equivalent of arial and sans-serif are all readily available.

I guess that you have completely misinterpreted my problem.  I am a BRAND NEW USER/PURCHASER of WX5.  I have been working with it less than 2 weeks.  How do I link fonts  to a project/template?  I am trying to update a web site that has been in use for more than 10 years.  I am copying and pasting some of it's HTML code into the body of a WX5 page.  Can I link multiple fonts to the project?  I can find no settings to do this or help on linking fonts to a project.

Stephen, see my earlier posts above..

Go to any text object, select font and down the bottom of the list is where you add extra fonts. You can add as many as you require.
