This isn't a question where I'm needing help, but a question suggesting an idea. Why doesn't incomedia include a .htaccess file in the root directory? This might make life easier and the software more appealing to those who aren't exactly experts.

Hallo Joe,

Viewing what you allowed me to see, it looks very similar to one that I have been working on. What I'm reading, the code written may be more universal between .htaccess files as long as each person/file wants the same thing accomplished.

If that's the case then, this really is a pretty easy thing to complete, yes or no?

@Klaus G.

In my opinion the .htaccess file is the key tool to block hacking and site attacks. Those attacks follow certain rules which could be nicely covered with universal rewirte engine command inside the .htaccess file. I use a slightly modificated version of the 6G FIREWALL/BLACKLIST which works perfectly. It is an open source project located here: https://perishablepress.com/6g/
