GIFs not working properly?

Hello!
So, I'm not sure if this is a bug from the new version, or if it's a thing that I've never noticed, but I have an animated gif I'd like to add, and when I insert it as an image, it doesn't move (not even in the tool's preview).
I tried to see if it'd work as a singular image in a gallery, still nothing. The farthest I got is to insert it as an animated image (without any transition or button). Now here's the problem, in the tool's preview it shows as animated and it moves. But when I preview it, it doesn't move.
Any suggestions?

Melissa, are you resizing it in any way?
Try to place it so that it is the original size, and also try as an image placed in a text object.
Hello Melissa
Try uploading the image to the server "manually" via FTP. Then use it by not selecting it as a "local" image, but specify it as a URL. Then it should function.
(It > En) ... in addition to what has already been said, ... three methods:
1) - the GifAnim must have measurements equal to or less than the host cell;
2) - for Image Object, alternatively, attach the image named "image_name.gif" to the project, leaving as destination the "files" folder already proposed by default, then use the URL option and type:
files/image_name.gif
3) - alternatively use the HTML Code Object, attach the image named ".gif image name" to the project, leaving as destination the "files" folder already proposed by default, then type in the HTML section::
<img src = "files/image_name.gif" width = "100" alt = "description" title = "description" />
...!... width = "100" ...!...

ciao

Hello everyone:
Esahc- Nope, not resizing it - just inserting it as an image and adding a drop-shadow.
John S. - I'll try that, and see if it works.
KalAsim - The GIF isn't being resized in any way, the cell is quite wide so there's no chance of any issues as far as I can tell from that. And I'll try to make it as a link instead.

So I did as suggested, and truly the only way to do it is to link it as a web url.
Esahc- Adding it as a text and embedding it there causes the same issue, it moves in the tool's preview, but in the actual preview of the website, it's static.
Only problem is - I can't add a drop shadow, which is something my client really wants, as it makes the images pop more.
Barring having to edit the gif and add the drop shadow before uploading it, any ideas?
Melissa, can you attach the gif here to see if we experience the same issue??
... Yes! ... the extra shading freezes the GifAnim, turning it into static PNG ...
ciao

p.s.: ... idea; ... creating the separate, individual frames in PNG with transparency on the alpha channel, it is possible to realize the animation in JavaScript, like a fast slideshow ...
