Website X5 lets you create a web page for text, image, table, gallery, etc . . .

I have a text page that I want to insert a table. That doesn't appear to be an option.

You either have a text page, OR and image page OR a table. You can't combine them.

What can I do to insert a table onto a page?

Thanx.

You could create a table and export to a graphic file or pdf - then use the image or pdf object on a page to display it.

Hello Tim,

You can utilise any combination of Text, Image, Table, Gallery Objects on any page in WebSite X5.

Can you explain in greater detail why you are unable to do so?  Perhaps with a screenshot?

Kind regards,

Paul

Thank you, Adrian. Yes, that would be a possiblity, that would involve extra steps and when there would be

frequent updates, that wouldn't be a valid option.

To go into more detail, here's a screen shot of a sample page, just to use as an example:

On the right, you have your choice to create a page that is text or an image, a table, gallery, etc. On the left,

there are two boxes that were created, one was a text, the other is a table. It would be nice to put a table in that

text, but when you try to add a table, it REPLACES the text. Here is what the page looks like as it is now:

As mentioned earlier, this is just an example. I have a text page that I would like to insert a table. I figured out a work around by creating a table, then adding the text around it, but that seems kind of
rediculous to have to do that. Is there a way to just insert a simple text?

Hi Tim,

please keep in mind the Grid on Step 4 is used to diagrammatically represent the page: in every cell you can add a single content, which are the Objects you find on the right side of the screen. You can place only one Object in each cell, and a single Object can be placed on more adjacent cells. Following this logic, you can simply add a Text Object into one or more cells to create a text portion on a page, then place a Table Object in another cell, if you want to show a table, or a Image Object for adding a picture.

You can also vary the number of cells by adding or removing rows and columns using the commands .

Please let me know if I can be of further help. Kind regards.

hello Tim

You could use a viever that can present the content from a csv-file.

I have an example here where I use a free viever where you can search and sort the columns. The paging can also be set. When you have a change in the file, then it is just to upload ( simple FTP ) a new version of the csv-file.

As it seems your data is events, then a maybe better idea is to use a calendar. This way you can log in to the calendar and add a new event - no uploading needed. There is a lot of functionality in the calendar.

You can see examples here : http://eksempelsite.dk/x52019test/textiframe.html

If you could use something like this, then I can make a better example for you, and maybe some more explanation.
