Customer orders not being emailed

Not sure why, but our website does not send our email address notifications of orders from customers. Having contacted some of our customers (paypal notified us of payments), they do receive an email. Any idea why we are not recieving notification emails or how this can be fixed?

In the first instance check the email delivery error log on your server. Your webhost will assist you if you are unsure how to do this yourself. The log will show you the status of both delivered and non-delivered email, and will help you to narrow the issue down.
Secondly, check any junk or spam folders, both in your email client and also on the server.
Next you can try altering the email script settings in Step 1 Settings > Advanced > Data Management:
By trialling the various options you may be able to find one which works successfully with your particular server configuration.

Hi Paul, although your info was informative, we've just discovered that our email provider has been putting our orders in the spam folder!! thank you for your assistance.
