Page content - responsive design  en

I get the basic idea of how to set up a responsive design in the header and footer sections, but in the page content area, in the  smaller views, a vertical scroll bar seems to be the only way to navigate the content. So just to verify, the software does not automatically stack the content? There's no way to show the page content so it can be viewed on a mobile phone without scrolling, is that correct? Now again, I'm not talking about the header and footer section. I asking about the main content section.

Thank you,

Larry

Hello Larry,

Obviously some page scrolling will be necessary on mobile devices as there simply isn't enough room to display most pages in their entirety, due to the reduced resolution of the smaller viewports.

In WebSite X5 the page contents will be 'stacked' according to how you set up the Display Order.  You can read about this in detail here:

https://help.websitex5.com/en/v2019.2/pro/index.html?responsive_order_ht.htm

In very small viewports the Objects will be displayed in simple linear fashion, one after the other as in a string.

Kind regards,

Paul

How it looks will also depend on how you have your objetcs arranged on the page. The more rows and columns you have with objects in each cell, the more you will see it "stacking"
