Hi Sinisa B,

Way to go !

Lets see a roadmap of what Incomedia plans for 2019/2020 going forward and not just some cosmetic changes.

(It> En) ... ... I think it is not possible to claim and get a clear answer ...
... it has always been known that the timing, programming and development of the program is not known, except through the official channels (newsletters, notices) and in due course...
... reread articles 4.2 and 6.1 -/a/b

@ ALL

I'm aware that I will not get any specific answer, nor I do not need one!

The developers must have some kind of plan for X5's developement.

I just want to know does this plan contains ANYTHING related to the e-commerce for this year (2019).

I think I didn't ask for much...

Yes, I know their long history of not doing anything in that segment - but since the PREVIEW and BETA testing was OPEN to the users - maybe their "policy" has changed accordingly?

@Sinisa B.

Months ago I posted the following:

I have a question for Incomedia Developers Team. Not for Technical Support – for Developers. There are number of requests regarding the E-Commerce part of WSX5 software. Every time some moderator promises to forward a request to developers. And this is where the request post ends. You cannot ask additional questions regarding the status, because your question will be made “private” (not visible to anyone else but you) and you will be informed that it is against paragraph so and so (happened to me recently). I have never seen any response from developers, even though it was promised…

Incomedia didn't like it and made it private...

And, of course, no resonse from Developers!

I cannot find my post where I suggested that Incomedia give us the status of the answers to users requests. Something like:

  • Not working on it
  • Thinking about it but don't expect anything in near future
  • Working on it, expect changes in the next version
  • ... or something similar...

And all this happened before you registered with Incomedia...

The road map has to come because of us, the users. Simply make a decision NOT to subscribe to Update Protection. Having no income, Incomedia would have no choice but to find a new road map — one that would provide the requested features and thereby win back their customers.

It’s just that simple.

@ Tom and @ Axel and @ Myron

I get the frustration - and I get the logic behind the frustration - but, let's presume that Incomedia's politics has changed.

There are some fresh players in this field - and they are getting more popular each day - I'm certain that Incomedai is aware of that fact.

I have bought the licence 4 months ago - and since then Incomedia has been very helpful - but only with the stuff not related with the e-commerce.

Maybe their "cold-face" toward the current e-commerce is because of the reason they have a plan of a total e-commerce "face-lift" (not just cosmetically)- so they do not want to bother with the "old-stuff" anymore?

Anyway, I'm going to wait for the respond to my simple question:

Any plans for updating e-commerce (Y/N)?

If I do not get any coherent reply in a week - I'm gone.

I would, probably, still use X5 for building regular websites - but I'm gonna find another e-commerce solutions which I can use (of course, after long time testing - I know what to look for now).

If I do not get any answer - I can surely tell that I wasted my time building my e-shop in X5 PRO...

BTW - I "met" here some people which I could start a business relationship with - so, at the end, every cloud has a silver lining ;)

Cheers!

Hi Sinisa,

as you have noticed on the Preview Program, for WebSite X5 2019.3 we have focused on aspects which do not include the e-commerce part. As far as your question is concerned, I really doubt that there will be any major improvements for the e-commerce section by the end of this year. This, of course, does not exclude any future developments on this aspect: I am now just referring to the timing you mentioned. I can anyway confirm that our development team is working at the e-commerce section. Thanks to the Preview Program you will be able to have access to all the anticipations.

I hope having helped clarify your doubts.

@ Elisa

Thank you for the precise and honest answer! Since I'm a way over the schedule with our e-shop - reluctantly, I'd have to look for some other e-commerce solution.

I'm staying open to extend my "UP" IF I see some major improvements in the e-commerce part. Hopefully by the June of 2020 - there will be some...

Bye!

So, let's stay positive and wait and see... Unfortunatelly, the time is pressing on me and I'll have to buy some other e-commerece solution.

I'll stay on the forum - because I will probably use X5 for making regular websites... and to keep in touch with the community.

BTW - if some of you had a suggestion for an alternative e-commerce solution - please write to me on my e-mail:

Thank you and stay well!
