How delete a huge video file in uploading over and over again.

i have made a short video file, witch i uploaded in tot the internet. Later i removed the file from the desing and saved the new design, but the deleted videofile keeps uploading to the server!! How can i prevent a file from being uploaded all the time, whilst it is no longer needed and therefore taking space. Ok i can delete the file afterwards manual, but i do not want to do this all the time i change the site, the file is pretty long and thus taking long time to upload. Whilst it is no needed anymore. It is a video file, an avi of 366Mb!! (i made a short version of 50 Mb, witch i use instead under an other name offcourse.) So please help or advice how to delete this AVI from my project and website files.
