Transparent effect on Hover Button  en

OK - you can put this into an IDEA post (if this will bring more intention to the dev team).

BTW - to avoid writing a new post > in BUTTON HOVER OBJECT - there is a BUG in the ON MOUSE OVER background color-options > the button-background in the mouse over state CAN NOT BE SET AS TRANSPARENT.

Please let the dev guys see into it.

Everything else in that object works OK...

Hello Sinisa

Thank you for your feedback

You're indeed right and I have proceeded to notify the developers of this so that the situation can be verified

I'll be on hold until they get back to me on this

Stefano

Hello to both

I apologize, I must have misunderstood the issue.

Sinisa, in fact, did mention the Button Hover Object, but I saw that you cannot actually set the background color as transparent in the new Button Object included in the software, and that is what I reported:

This is the integrated Button object

But I now suspect that you're talking about the Hover Button PluginApp instead. I have to say that I do see the transparent option there, when you mentioned that "the button-background in the mouse over state CAN NOT BE SET AS TRANSPARENT".

This is the Hover Button

We're talking about two different Objects correct?

Keep me posted on this

Thank you

Stefano

I saw this post by chance and reading it occurred to me to remind you of a previous problem, which I had to overlook between work and other commitments.

However, if I'm not mistaken, the problem is still present.

I tried to explain the problem but I don't think I was understood.

Anyway, I mean "Hover Button".

Yes, it's the HOVER BUTTON object (that is sold as a separate plug-in).

PLEASE NOTE - the transparent background does not work when an hover (mouse over) effect is selected (any effect).

It works perfectly when effect is NOT selected!

Looks like it works for me! (in WSX5 Pro 17.1.2.)

See attachment: "Fade" and "Sweep To Top" buttons have transparent background.

changes to red background on hover.

Try these settings. If you set the second transparent background you will not see the background.

The photo was taken with the mouse on the button. From my point of view and from my logic, I should see the background, or rather the trees and the leaves.

I could go on listing all the bugs again but honestly I don't want to talk to the void and waste time.

As you can see, it works in version Pro 17.1.2. There must be errors in libraries in 2019.x versions...

We had this situation before, I reported it in this post back in Julay 2019. And Stefano G. confirmed:

Later it has been fixed.

Situation repeats itself...

Good day everyone

@Sinisa thank you for specifying this "PLEASE NOTE - the transparent background does not work when a hover (mouse over) effect is selected (any effect)."

I can then confirm that this is the same as previously reported by Gabriele. I also have to confirm that the situation is still explained by the way that the Object has been built and I will translate from my Italian message on the other topic:

When you don't set any specific type of effect on the button, the animation is applied directly to the button itself.

If instead, you select an effect from the list, a second element is created which is superimposed on the original button and the animation is applied there. This means that, as you have noticed, transparency is actually applied to the second element that is created. If its background is transparent, obviously the background of this second element will be seen in the same color as the original button.

In short, this is a technical limitation that cannot be avoided in order to present the effect as they currently are.

If you wish to use the transparent Background on the mouse over, an effect cannot be selected or the result will be the one already experienced.

This is also due to the fact that most of the available effects other than the basic one can only be obtained through this effect of overlaying with another button, without which it would not be possible to use them.

I apologize for the misunderstanding but I can confirm that the situation is still the same and no change can currently be performed to workaround this

I still thank you for your understanding as we keep on working to improve the software

Stefano

I am not involved in programming, but could we not set a z-index or review the effect?

On sites not created with WebSite X5 this problem does not arise, yet there are buttons with many types of CSS effects.

@Stefano,

Check the attachment! - I recorded the behavior of the HoverButton with the transparent background.
Obviously it works in WSX5 Pro 17.1.2!

Does it mean the same thing will not work in ver. 2019.x?

Hello everyone

Since this particular behavior is generated by the way the Object works, it is very hard that it could be revisited. This is simply to be considered a limitation of the Object's customization options.

@Tom The button is working correctly in your situation because you're reproducing the problem upside down.

You need to set a colored background for your button and add a transparent background on over. You're doing it vice-versa. In that case, you will notice it cannot work on v17 as well

I apologize for the trouble this might cause, but I am afraid that the transparent background on hover simply cannot be achieved with the current Object setting

Thank you, Stefano, for clarification! You're right. What I did - works, but the other way it doesn't!

@ Stefano

no problem, this is a minor thing....

But, please, please, please (etc.) - ask your IT crew to sit down and seriously schedule all the e-commerce updates that are necessary to do.

If in doubt what to do first - I'll write you a list.

If your marketing is asking how to increase the program sales and keep your current clients - the answer is update the e-commerce and you'll become the leaders in the WYSIWYG web design software.

Thank you in advance!
