Multi-User Access to Projects  en

We have a PC where Website X5 Pro is installed. I installed it under my profile and it all works fine. However my sales manager uses the same PC when I am not there but if he signs in and tries to access Website X5, he has to re-register the software. Now he has to import my exported project and the new edits he makes are not visible to me when I log back in later to use it. This must mean that some of the files are stored in the local user profile.

Is there a way for two users on a PC to access the same project?

Geoffrey, when WX5 starts you can set the default directory.

By default is saves all files in c:\users\yourname\documents\incomedia

if you create a folder (eg c:\Projects, NOT in your documents!) and set this as the default for both users, then you will each be editting the same project.

Geoffrey. I am not strictly sure of the legality of this, but here goes.

This is were my license file is in the appdata directory

If you copy this "Website X5 - Evolution" folder to the appdata/local/incomedia folder for the other user that should resolve the problem.

Let us know?

Thanks - in fact I copied both files, which was to be my next move.  it works. As to "legal", I'll wait to be told it isn't but I am being open about it. Th guys tried Evo first and I upgraded them to Pro but if they like it enough, I will buy them all a licesne anyway. We're just puting it through its paces for now and it is simple enough to use.
