Trying to upload changes to my website (www.oriondiscs.com) but having no success. Keep getting this message:
Unable to connect to server.
Generic Error
(please reconnect using TLS security merchanisms (421).)
I'm not very computer savvy. Can anyone tell me what the problem is and how to resolve the situation.
Thank you.

Your website seems to have been updated relatively recently. Did your ability to upload to the internet cease for no reason or perhaps after an update? Has your host recently changed the procedure??
If you recently updated WX5 you may wish to temporarily uninstall or disable anti-virus/malware/firewall/vpn 3rd party protection to rule this out first.
(contact your host perhaps through their live chat, especially if you have changed nothing and it no longer works)

Thanks for the advice. I uploaded a special Christmas version of the site. Now I want to upload the site but without all the festive touches but it just won't upload.
I have contacted my host to see if there's something I need to change.
perhaps TSO Hosting ?
i think this is the same issue:

Thanks. Certainly looks like the same problem. Guess there's not a lot I can do except wait and see if there's an update solving the trouble. Meantime my website is still wishing everyone a Merry Christmas.
Tommy, as you will have seen, you can use filezilla (or similar) as an interim measure.
Hello Tommy
I've received an answer from the developers
Apparently, the issues here are of two different natures.
1_ The port that you need to set in the software is number 21
2_ The reason why the connection is failing, is that the server is responding to the software with an invalid certificate, in which the domain name doesn't match the website's name. This issue is also reported by FileZilla when connection. Filezilla still offers you the possibility of continuing while WebSite X5 does not, but you should really consider contacting your hosting provider about this. Such an issue can cause major privacy and security issues and should be fixed by your hosting before the software can once again connect properly
Verify both of these situations and keep me posted here
Thank you

Hi Stefano,
Many thanks for the above info which I passed onto TSO Hosting last evening. I'm pleased to report my problem has been resolved thanks to your info and a ninety minute session on the TSO live help board. My website is now up and running nicely again.
This morning I received a further response from TSO, the sender not realising my issue had been dealt with, which I am adding below in the hope that it may prove useful to anyone else in the situation I found myself in. As far as I can recall this is what sorted my problem:
I checked the information you got from Website X5 Evo and it seems that you will have to use the name of the server in order to achieve proper FTP connection in their service.
Can you please try to enter falcon.servers.prgn.misp.co.uk on the place of the IP 91.103.219.225 which is the FTP Address option in the software?
Also, please try to import the files again and if it fails, provide us with the exact error message you are receiving and if it is possible in the screenshot.
Another thing you can try is to use SFTP details in your FTP software and you need to use the following details.
FTP Address option: falcon.servers.prgn.misp.co.uk
Username: Your cPanel username
Password: Your cPanel password
Port: 2510
Server type: look for secure FTP since you need to use different type from the normal FTP.
Again I thank you for your advice and I hope this info can assist others.
Tommy
Hello Tommy,
I have the same issue since before Christmas and it is still not resolved. Do you have name of the person or persons at TSOHost who sorted it out as what they say to me is that they have implemented TLS 1.2 and it is Incomedia's problem.
Tony
Anthony, did you follow the advice given to Tommy in the above post?
I tried it and it didn't work for me. Incomedia tell me that the problem is with TSOHost and TSOHost say the opposite so after three weeks nothing has changed.
Anthony, perhaps contact TsoHost again and provide the information provided to Tommy to see if it is relevant to your hosting? It appears they may have realised the problem is at their end??
FTP Address option: falcon.servers.prgn.misp.co.uk
Username: Your cPanel username
Password: Your cPanel password
Port: 2510
Server type: look for secure FTP since you need to use different type from the normal FTP.
TsoHost say the problem is not at their end and TLS 1.2 is working correctly They have given me a similar work-around to Tommy to connect using SFTP rather than FTP TLS 1.2 The server name which works for me is different: nebula.servers.prgn.misp.co.uk

Hello Tommy
I'm glad to hear that your problem was solved.
Should you have any further issue, please contact me here again through a new topic
Thank you
Stefano
@Antony
Since the issue apparently was not the same in your case as well, please continue on your private topic so that we might analyze it further
Thank you
