Problem With Product Description In Shopping Cart.

I am trying to create an online shop and have the following question. Is there any way to write a detailed description about a product without this description being displayed in the shopping cart? I can solve this problem by creating another text field, but i believe the correct procedure is to enter a text description for a product in the shopping cart under advanced settings. I have just updated to website X5 evolution 9 thinking that this would solve the problem, but sadly not. If this feature is not available, then it would be logical to implement it in the next update. Hoping for some feedback on this problem. Best regards Richie.

Hello Richard,
you can setting view of your ecommerce cart with Evolution 9. At the step 3 you (after fave insert product list at the step 4) should insert an object product list and in the tab "settings" you can choose the type ofdisplay. If you choose for example "only images you" the description of your product isn't view in the page exportated.

Thank you for the information. However, if i do this then the detailed description of the product is then no longer displayed in the web site. Regards Richard.

for have a description detail of products you should insert the description in an object table and insert a link with action "add ecommerce cart" and select the category or id product. This features is possible for each product.

thanks for the answer, but this seems to be unnecessary extra work to use an object table when there are already several possibilities to enter text descriptions.
Text description entered under "Advanced Settings / Shopping Cart / Products, always appears in the shopping cart. This means that you can only use a very short description here, otherwise you end up with a shopping cart full of product descriptions. This looks messy, and therefore this possibility to enter text other than a product number is not very useful! Therefore you must always provide a link to another (hidden) page in order to write a detailed product description. This is ok, but then you do not have the possibility to change the cursor symbol or use a tooltip box.

Alternatively, for each product you can insert the page of detail of the product; at the step 4 in the ecommerce cart you can insert the product and in the settings you can decide the page detail for this product. In this mode you will have a page with detail of the products.
