Full Width Scroll Button - First Button glitch  en

Hey folks!

Bit of a different question here. I'm trying to set up a full-width page, and I want to use the little scroll down buttons. However, on the first section, clicking the button only goes to the same section.

As I understand it, it's because of the top menu - clicking the button essentially moves it out of the way, but stays in the same section.

Is there any way - barring manually creating a button and anchors - to resolve this? Because it looks like rather shoddy coding on my end if I leave it as is.

Thank you!

Melissa, are you referring to these navigation buttons when using the new full height option available through row/formats? eg https://www.esahc.com

Can you provide access to the website or at least a screenshot or 2 describing the issue?

Hey Esahc,

Sorry for the delay in getting back, but yep, that's the one.

So here's my issue: I have this page here - http://melissakuhne.com/hack-it-up.html

If you click on the arrow or even on the first circle, it only brings it to the first area.

Now, I can maybe understand that it's just the coding moving the top bar out of the way, but it looks like I did some bad coding on my end for anyone that might come across this.

But, if I create an anchor: http://melissakuhne.com/hack-it-up.html#start then it all works fine.

Essentially, I want to know if, barring my method, there's any way to get it to move to the next section automatically without scrolling or anything.

Melissa, it seems to work correctly.

Are you concerned about when you first open the page and the header is visible, clicking the down arrow only moves the page a little?

If so, how about deleting all content from the header and then in step 2 template structure, make the header either 0px or 1px then just rely on the sticky bar.

Hi Esahc,

Yes that is exactly my issue.

And I'm a bit puzzled by your response. Are you insinuating that I should have to remove things from my website in order to make that function work? I don't believe that makes any sense...the function should work independently of the header.

Conversely, that would mean that if a certain function was only supposed to work under certain circumstances, then Incomedia should only provide one website template? The whole point of this program is so that each person can create their own site and their own functionality. Otherwise it defeats the purpose.

Hello Melissa,

Maybe Incomedia can make the button show up a little later.

But if i my suggest, set only auto scroll on and the rest off, it's not needed information, and mostly the beauty from a good website comes from simpeler pages.

I think it would look a lot better without the arrow and page count circles.
