My project just failed to load with a dialog saying a root element missing. what do i do

when i tried to load my project after my system shot down mistakenly, it would not load with the error message attached

Stephen, when you start wx5 select the project then select backup. Assuming there are a number of them select one and then select redo.
Hopefully this will be successful but for future reference, when the project is fixed please regularly visit step 5 export project to create an iwzip (this can be renamed at time of creation to keep multiple versions).
The iwzip is a complete and robust backup that can be imported. It is far more reliable than backup.
