Suddenly I notice that the preview programs shows only a blank page. As I recall, my last action was the installation of the Pro version update v2019.3.17.
I tried to check it with a totally new project with the same results. See attached screen capture.
Also I tried to re install the websitePro download file just in case it was a local problem.

Hi, unfortunately you are not the only one, there are many users with your same problem, many reports have already been made and the technical staff of Incomedia is already aware of the problem.
Always Q&A testing for Incomedia. I spoke about that since many years...
I know well after more 20 yrs of work at software editor company (ans some ww known) .... So Q&A was not important but crucial before to put on the web a new version.
But Incomedia, they don't listen their customers....
It's a concept...their concept...
Even the CEO does not respect his words !!!! after many emails exchange with him !!!!

Surely this issue should have been picked up in the Beta testing stage? What are Incomedia thiunking here?
Good afternoon everyone
Unfortunately, I have to report that this is in fact not something linked specifically to the software itself and thus could not be noticed in any particular BETA stage of the software.
I apologize for the problems that seem to have arisen in this period.
I can confirm that following some recent updates made by Windows, the number of preview problems seems to have increased. These issues target browser-specific applications, which is why WebSiteX5 shows this since an internal browser is used to preview projects.
The development team is already working to verify this. Although the issue actually appears to be related to these updates, official confirmation is awaited.
For the moment, the only safe solution seems to be a restore of Windows to a previous version or a complete reinstallation of the system without going through updates, but I understand well that it is not to be considered a universally acceptable solution.
For the moment, I will report it so that it is kept under observation and as soon as there is news about it, I will keep you informed here
Thanks for your patience

Ramón reports the issue persists in version 2020.1.8

The web preview worked fine in v2020.1.8 , aswell as in V2020.1 and in the beta version named "Preview"
I have reinstalled 2020.1.8 to check if it is due to the program itself, but nothing new happened.
Since the web preview seems to be related with a navigator client I changed the IP address of my computer, from DHCP to an static IP address, and BINGO, that made the change! I am back to see the web preview as usual.
It seems there is a software problem dealing with the web engine, hope this case helps to find where it happens.
For me the problem is solved with this workaround until a new version has it fixed.

Ramon
PD. Paul, my apologies for opening a new post instead of following this one.
Thanks for your feedback, Ramón
Hi Ramón,
can you tell me if the new IP you set is different from the one you had via DHCP? Which is the IP are you using? Moreover, do you rember if you was able to edit a text using the text editor (ie: Text Object). This was also a problem related to the "white page" in the Preview.
Thanks
I guess everyone should be super-cautious next week. Microsoft is releasing their next Windows update, and it’s going to be a MAJOR update.
One would think that Incomedia’s development team would be simultaneously testing their updated X5 software on BOTH the current Windows version AND a beta version of the next edition of Windows 10. This way, they would know whether there are problems BEFORE they release X5 updates.
By the way, anyone using Windows 10 should learn how to make an IMAGE of their C:\ drive.
I use Acronis True Image, and I make a new image once per month. I don’t trust Windows Restore to get my computer to an earlier state.
If something goes wrong after a Windows 10 update, or if Website X5 becomes corrupted, I can return my PC to a perfectly working previous state in about 8 minutes by retrieving an earlier image.
Of course, this assumes you are saving all your projects onto a second hard drive, which everyone should be doing.
The only things that should be on your C:\ drive are Windows and your software applications. With this ”workflow,” you will spend more time working and less time cursing!
Thanks Myron, I confirm that we are MS partner and we're in the Windows Insider Program. Moreover W5 uses mainly MS libraries to be sure to have the max compatibility with Windows OS.
The problem is that sometimes, thare's something wrong with the Windows Updates and that problem happens in a 'random' way.
I know Windows does an automatic backup (Windows Restore) everytime it installs an update, but it's always better to check if the backups are correctly enabled.
