Hello.Change server type.Try different options.Also try a different port.You can specify the data you need in the technical support of your hosting.

Also check with them the address of the root folder of the site where you need to upload the site files.

I finally got the website uploaded. However, it opened with a WordPress blog page and there was no way to go to anything else. I went into my Yahoo control panel and deleted a lot of the files that were dated before the today date and were identified as WP...

I re-uploaded my website and now nothing shows up when you open the website.

I did not know that the WP files were part of Incomedia platform or websie basis.

Any idea on what I should do? Also I noticed that the website comes on not secured?

"I did not know that the WP files were part of Incomedia platform or websie basis." - this is not true. You have deleted not only WP files, but also Incomedia.

Delete all site files from the hosting and unload the entire site. Clear your browser’s cache.
