I have a site created in X5 Home 10. I just upgraded to EVO and it says it cannot open the old project becuase it was created in a version prior to 2020.1. Do I seriously have to start from scratch or hopefully someone can please tell me there is another way to get it working in the new version??

Bob, if you contact me via https://www.esahc.com I would get your iwzip file open it in v11 or later and save it as a new iwzip. You could then open it in v2020

Thank you for the quick response and I'm so glad to hear there is a solution, but now I have a different, but very similar question...can just certain pages be copied/transferred from the old version to the new one or does it have to be the entire project or nothing? Perhaps once the new version is compatible with v2020, once open, can I "copy" a page out of the sitemap, then open another site and "paste" it there?

G'day Bob

Unless your site is very large I suggest exporting the whole site (do not include preview). Once you have it in v2020 you can then cull the pages or content.

A better solution is that you can open a second execution of WX5 v2020, start a brand new project with an up to date template designed for a responsive site and then copy and paste objects from the old to the new as required.

Alternatively if your site is large then you can create a copy of your existing site (please do not work on the original or only project), delete unrequired content, save it and export project in step 5 before conversion.

My experience is that the hardest thing to do is to accomodate an old template (it takes a lot of fiddling to bring it up to todays responsive standards), so my advise would be start a brand new project with a template of your choice and copy objects as required.
