from looking at this it looks like he may not have liked my post to you re phpjabbers since its blocked after i posted it. i can't see why since it was only a suggestion for you to have a look at in the hope that it solved a long standing problem you have.

just another reason i moved on from X5. they refuse to address any serious issues and really just rely on other members to help each other out but don't like anyone to be critical of them.

PHP Jabbers was on my radar for a long time - but, as Axel wrote, it has some irritating issues (i.e. you cannot adjust a color scheme of the shopping cart - you can only choose from the ones they offer you...).

And this is what should have happened all along. Private conversations (even if they are software related) have no place here on the forum in my opinion. If they were intended for a general audience, they should have been labelled as such, not with someone's user name as the heading.

The moderator (that you all seem to be happy to criticise in your posts) was doing what he or she thought was the correct thing to do - and I agree. The only thing they could have done better was to ask you politely first not to make these sort of posts. I doubt that would have stopped you in any case but who knows?

You have asked some very pertinent questions and raised some good issues over these past months, Sinisia, and many of us users have appreciated this. As you also know, the moderators don't work for Incomedia. They are a source of knowledge and help out because they want to do so. Maligning their integrity Axel, isn't something I want to see on this forum. Why would they want to continue helping you if you do that?

Anyway, I don't want to sound like I am attacking any of you either and if it's come across like that then I am sorry. I just wasn't happy with the way a conversation that should have been private was being aired in a public forum. Now you have email contact I hope that will sort this out.

Wayne what sort of "private" posts are you refering to? I personally do not see anything that was out of order that needed a moderator to block it??

Sinisa B has been asking Incomedia for quite some time now for help / fixes that should have been sorted out a LONG time ago but have been ignored by incomedia. Perhaps if they were to participate a bit more in the help center then we would not have so many negitive posts. 

The forum relys solely on the help of users as far as I can see. Incomedia with the exception of one or two just post stock responses.

How can it be wrong to give a suggestion to a fellow user to try and help out even if it meant using a third party utility to do so. After all we are still using X5 for the main part.

You will see the question was blocked AFTER I had posted my reply which mentioned the third party utility.

So with that in mind have another look at YOUR post. You are guilty of exactly what you are accusing the rest of us of. You have had a rant and didn't even offer a suggestion for the main point of this post which was to help a fellow user try and solve a problem.

Anyway, I don't want to sound like I am attacking you either and if it's come across like that then I am sorry. I just wasn't happy with the direction you were taking the conversation.
