Bulk corrections on the whole website?  en

Is there a way to make a "mass" (bulk) corrections on a TEXT (or other) object which is used on many project pages?

Let say I use THE VERY SAME TEXT object on 20 pages and I need to change just one sentence of that TEXT object - is there a way to change it all at once (on all the pages all at once)?

When I used Dreamweaver (bless it), back in 2000-2005, I used a basic FIND & REPLACE option - which was a true life-saver.

I have a funny feeling that this will not be possible with our beloved WSX5...

Thank you in advance for any tips of that kind!

No it's not, but very good IDEA, i could change this post to an IDEA post.

To help you out, if the objects are all the same, change 1 object and then copy and past these with right mouse button option.

@ Andre

If you think that it would be noted by the company (in this decade) - please turn this post into IDEA!
Thx!

I can see now how much trouble this issue will be if someone had to change the same part of the text on, let's say, 560 pages! It's will be a nightmare!

BTW - UNDO/REDO options are CRYING to be added too!

You get a plus one from me.

I had a website with multiple commercials on the left side. If one changed i had to copy them to all other pages.

Later on i started to use the iframe code in html and made 1 master code so i just needed to change the master to get this on all pages. So that might be a solution if all the objects are exactly the same.

Still i can remembur putting in an IDEA code as well for this, many years a go, so i can't promise you that it wil be this decade. But at the momet Incomedia is doing a great job and there are faster and more options created then they did in the past, so don't lose hope!

@ Incomedia

a master object and then create same object on another page that are slave object would be a nice feature, you could set the master and slave tag by right mouse click and then you can create these other objects wherever you like without getting into an enormous copy paste job.

Or make a multiple find and replace function. Like Sinisa suggested, it would also do the trick an might be more versatile.
