Software Freeze problems  en

I am using Incomedia X5 Pro 2020.1.8 and using Windows 10 Home version 1909.  I do not use any 3rd party virus or malware programs except Microsoft Defender that is part of Windows nor a VPN.

When using the software and either resize a video or delete a video object the software freezes and can only be shutdown using task manager.  This only appears to have occurred after latest update.

Any suggestions

Hello.I checked Pro 2020.1.10 in WEindows 10 Pro version 1909. Everything seems to be working fine. Try disabling Microsoft Defender. Check that there are no empty cells on the video page.

Stephen, how big are these videos? If they are large can you test with smaller ones? Can you perhaps move the videos to youtube and link them to your site to see if that brings stability and performance back?

The videos are actually links to youtube videos thorugh a Video/Image object.  I hae also found since this that when I try to open a text object it takes a long time to d so.  I will try disabling defender next time but I really shouldn't have to.

Stephen, I have never found Defender to be the issue (although there is always a 1st time I guess :-)

Assuming you are running locally (not via network or USB, etc) and one drive or similar is not synchronising your data, if you have not already done so, please update to v2020.1.12 and check again. If this fails, export the project (step5) to create a new iwzip, then restart WX5 and import the new iwzip (this will not overwrite your existing project.

Thanks for your advice

I am running 202.1.12 - One drive is not synchronising and I am running on a local desktop.  Did what you said and problem still exists.

Will just have to put up with it and wait until the program unfreezes which it eventually does after about 5 minutes.

This is a new project I only started the other day and am using one of your templates for this.  I have not or don't have any problems with the other three websites I am doing.

The template is Online Courses.

Sorry have been tied up with other things - it is still the same but have no problems with other website I do so am prepared to put up with this - must be a problem on my computer with a conflict with something but only on this project.  It is very unusual but can't be a problem with Website Pro.  Thanks for all your help
