Digital Products require manual processing (Sandbox Mode)

Hi - I've created a website to sell online magazines (digital products). I've created my database and product catalog, and all seems ok so far. Using the website, I can pose as a customer to shop for a product, and complete a purchase.
So far, I've only offered the customer the possibility to pay by PayPal, and in Sandbox mode.
Although I've specified automatic processing of the order after payment (see attachment), the 'completed' order then sits in my database, and I have to manually select 'processed' as if its a physical item.
How can I enable automatic order processing, so that I don't have to clear waiting orders in the database ?
Many thanks, Jem

Hello Jem,
I've asked Incomedia to comment on this for you.
This issue has been raised in the recent past. However, I am currently unsure whether or not a comprehensive bug fix was released.
Automatic order processing won't take place if the shopping cart contained a mix of both digital and physical products at the time of purchase. But from what you've described it sounds as though your test carts have contained digital products only?
Please continue to monitor the thread. The Incomedia support team should respond within 24-72 hours (excluding weekends).
Kind regards,
Paul

Thanks Paul. For clarity, my website has been setup purely to supply digital magazines, so there are no physical products in the catalog / available to purchase - they're all digital products.

Hi Guys - Can you please comment on this.
I purchased x5 Pro specifically for the digital products functionality, and what promised to be a seamless delivery to the customer without manual intervention. As things stand, I have to visit the Admin centre and 'proces' every order before an email with a digital product link is sent to my customer.
This builds in unacceptable delays, and will be very labour intensive.
Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks, Jem
Hello Jem
The Sandbox system is probably the reason why your emails aren't getting through. I'll try to explain
If you use Sandbox, you're in the testing environment of course. As long as you're here, you need to set as your Paypal email in the payment configuration the "fake business" email generated by the sandbox account in PayPal:
https://developer.paypal.com/developer/accounts/
If you insert your normal PayPal email there, the email won't be sent while in sandbox. It will only be sent when the purchase is officially done.
In short, you could try with a live purchase and see if it works, or create a sandbox account at the link I provided and try with that
Keep me posted here
Thank you
Stefano

Hi Stefano,
Sorry it's been a while - I needed to get the website owner on board for a proper test!
Anyway, we've now tested a Paypal payment without the Sandbox, and auto-processing works fine.
As a supplementary question - if I add Amazon pay, will auto-processing still apply ?
Thanks, Jem
Hello Jem
Unfortunately, no. Autoprocessing is a PayPal exclusive in the software as of now, though the developers are looking into expanding this.
For the moment, only PayPal can work this way
I hope I was helpful
