Port Forwarding issue and Website Not working  en

Hi,

I have been using dynamic address with port forwarding to run my website

https://fairdeals365.ddns.net

Due to my ISP updated to network CGNAT they are saying I have to take Static IP to continue running my website. And I have to bear additional cost each month for the same.

I want if some one know how to overcome this issue without paying additional cost to ISP for Static IP and still run my website from my PC using any way. That will be helpful

I have been using WAMP Server 3.1.0 . There was no problem till day before yesterday, but as My ISP updated their network to CGNAT, since I have been facing this issue.

My website shows in searches but does not connect it shows error "ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT". When confirmed I came to know that it is due to my ISP.

Please help

Regards

Rohit

Hello Rohit,

Firstly, this is not a WebSite X5 issue, so there is nothing which can be set within the WebSite X5 software which would help you with this.

You would need to look into installing a dynamic DNS client on your server, which can update the DNS every time the IP address from your ISP changes.

For example:

https://www.noip.com/support/knowledgebase/diy-hosting-using-no-ip-wamp/

However, it would be even better to order an inexpensive domain name, and configure that in conjunction with the dynamic DNS client on the server.

Kind regards,

Paul

It looks like an insurmountable routing issue due to CGNAT.

I hope for your sake I am wrong, but I think you will have to find an alternative means of hosting as I cannot see a solution.

For what it's worth I have customers hosted with webhostingworld.net and they pay as little as $US 1.00 per month, is that cheaper than the static IP alternative?
