Logo slider no smooth movement on different browsers  en

Dear all,

On the main page

https://www.gantner.uk/

I have added the logo slider all the way below with logo's from our global references.

It moves from right to left but it is not a smooth move. The slide is pulsating.

What could cause this?

Thank you!

Monica

@ Monica

Everything is looking good (smooth) on my browser (Opera).

I can only report that the slider sometimes will not stop when I put my mouse over the slider (on some random logo).

This thing could be a browser (javascript) thing... and without some serious debugging - I do not think that this would be easily solvable.

***

BTW - Very nicely designed site.

Thank you Sinisa. It is not going smooth on Chrome and Firefox so it may be indeed a javascript thing.

Thanks for the quick response and compliments :)

No problem!

Wait for Incomedia response - maybe an object update could fix it....

Hello.I checked your site in: Mozilla Firefox 80.0.1 (64-bit), Google Chrome 85.0.4183.102 (Official) (64 bit), Microsoft Edge 85.0.564.51 (Official) (64 bit), Opera 70.0.3728.178. The slider moves smoothly.

This may have been a temporary problem. Perhaps the computer was very busy with something at the time of the check. Try updating your browsers and turning off all add-ons.

For me there is a noticeable difference between the jerky, stuttering scrolling in Firefox (with an especially pronounced 'jump' every six seconds or so?), and Microsoft Edge, where the scrolling is silky smooth.

I've not been able to find a reason for this.

I agree to Paul - Firefox gets the hiccup when exposed to the logo-slider.

With Chrome and the "new" Edge there seem to be no problems.

Good afternoon

I've verified the situation and can confirm that there seems to be no real issue with the Logo Slider itself.

Since Firefox uses different technologies to render content than the new Edge and Chrome, it is possible that it might behave in slightly different ways when exposed to the same content. From my tests, the slider doesn't really appear very stuttery compared to Chrome and Edge. I can see that the rendering is a little slower and this can sometimes generate a sense of stutter, but it fixes itself after a while and can be considered a browser's quirk rather than an actual fault of the Object itself

I will notify the developers of this anyway as to keep the situation under check in case anything should change

Thank you

Stefano
