Hide an object possible rather than delete it?

Is there a way to hide an object on a page rather than delete it so it doesn't show when published?
The other way would be to duplicate the page and then make it under construction. Just wondering if I can just hide an object somehow?
Some objects take a lot of effort to build the content and I want to save it

Adrian, you can hide any object on any resolution except desktop. The way I deal with this is either duplicate the page as you said, or have a hidden page where I copy and past individual objects for future use so I can copy them back as required
(I would really like the ability to hide an object at desktop resolution, but have it visible at mobile resolutions!!)

Yes I have suggested that too.... hide at desktop but visible mobile would be great.
I like your idea of just a page of objects you want to keep and hide it - that would reduce all the under construction pages i have in the project just to keep an object. Great idea.
