Hello Serhii,

Are both sites which you refer to on the same server?

For each site, what version of WebSite X5 did you use to create it, and what version of PHP is installed on the server?

Is http://bz-hockey.com/ the site where the mail is NOT received?

Kind regards,

Paul

Both sites are located on the same server. One version (12) was used to create them. I put an email form from a working site at bz-hockey.com and it worked. This form had a different email address. When I changed the email address in it, it stopped working

Yes, bz-hockey.com is not working.

For various reasons emails will rarely be accepted nowadays by the receiving mail server, unless the sender uses an email address which originates from the domain in question.

So in your own case it would be best to use an email address in the following format:

email_address_at_bz-hockey.com

...instead of (for example):

email_address_at_gmail.com or email_address_at_yahoo.com

If you want to receive email using third party email addresses, then first send them using the bz-hockey.com domain, and then forward them on to the final address using your mail client.

This is some kind of nightmare. I did ***. Put it in the form. The sender of the message gets confirmation, but I don't. But I received 1 out of 10 messages that I tried to send 3 hours ago.

In Step 4 Advanced Settings > Data Management there is an option to 'Always use the following sender address'

Always use the following sender address: if this option is enabled, it sets the e-mail address indicated in the field as the sender of all the e-mails that leave the website. This e-mail address overwrites the e-mail address given in the options of the E-mail Form Object, that of the customer placing an order through the e-commerce shopping cart and that of the user who automatically registers to access a Members' Area in the website.

This option is useful if the provider blocks e-mails from the server that are sent by a user whose domain is different from this website: for example, an e-mail for an order from www.mywebsite.com will not be sent if the sender's address is not ***. In these cases, the problem can be solved by specifying a sender's e-mail address that has the same domain name as the website from which the e-mail leaves.

Ref: https://help.websitex5.com/en/v12/pro/index.html?gestione_dati.htm

Have you activated this option?  If not, try switching it on and entering an email address which again carries your bz-hockey.com domain extension.

Thanks for the confirmation, Serhii.

If you send an email from your email address at bz-hockey.com using an ordinary email client (such as Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.) do you receive it?  Does it fall into any spam or bulk mail folder?

Try sending an email from your bz-hockey.com address using the following free tool:

https://www.mail-tester.com/

If you get anything less than a 10/10 score then you may have issues which need to be addressed on the server before mail deliverability can be assured.  I am quietly confident that this is a domain/hosting/server issue as opposed to anything to do with WebSite X5.

Please keep us updated.  We are here to help if we can.

Hi, it is important to check the different types of scripts. Check with your hosting company which settings are required for sending via SMTP.

At STEP1 Settings / Advanced / Data Management try to use "Standard Script" as a script, many other users have solved it. However, after selecting "Standard Script", it is important to export all the files of the website online, do not choose "export only the files modified since the last expression" but export the whole site again.
Hello

Hi Giuseppe,

Serhii is using version 12 - the settings are in Step 4 in version 12 as opposed to Step 1...   but I think he has already tried every setting:
