I am unable to open Website X5 evolution (Version 9) it states that there was an error occured while trying to run the program, please reinstall the program. I have reinstalled the program at least a dozen times and uninstalled it and then reinstalled. I still get the same error message no code just that message. If anybody has an Idea of what to do please let me know. I am out of ideas. Norm

Dear Norm,

I'm very sorry for the inconvenience. Is the issue now solved?
Our server was a bit slow but it is now working, therefore please try again now to install your program.

If you still aren't able to, please proceed with the manual activation and I will help you.
In order to install manually, please preoceed as follows:

  • Start the program's registration process
  • Add all your data as you did before
  • Press the CTRL button on your keyboard and the next command in the program window with your mouse.
  • in the right corner above you will see a file which needs to be saved. This file contains all information about manual unlocking and it contains the computer code, too.
  • please save this file and forward this file in a zip folder to me.

I will give you your new unlock code as soon as possible.
Thank you!

No, the actual problem is that I am unable to open the program, it gives me an error message.  "An error occured while running the program.  Please reinstall the program".  I can't open the program to put the code in manually.  I have tried to reinstall the program several times to no avail.  Any further Ideas??????   I tried to uninstall the program and then reinstall the program several times.

I looked at both the links provided,  I did download Net3.5 as mentioned in the first link, and I do meet all the parameters mentioned in the second.  I am still unable to open the file.  I still get the same error message.  Where do I go from here????

Hi Norm,

first of all please try to launch the program from this link http://www.websitex5.com/download/v9/wsx5_ev.exe it is the latest update of the program. If you are using windows Vista, please make sure you install as admin (right click on the program's icon and select ''run as administrator'') then let me know!
Thank you!

No, that did not work either,  first I ran the install as is and it came up as an error, then I uninstalled the whole program and then reinstalled again using your website you gave me.  No I did not right click and use administrator I am running Windows 7 64 bit.  I don't know if because I installed and then reinstalled if there is a registry issue that is keeping it from opening or what but I am really frustrated.  I have not been able to get into my website and make any changes.  I had version 8 but somehow got the e-mail onit messed up then the I could not open it so when I say version 9 I figured I would just upgrade.  I have posted a Jpeg of the error for you.  I don't know where to go from here.  what next?   is there not a phone number that I could call for help or is everything done via web posts?  I believe when I purchased your product and got the e-mail with the site it said it would be available until Feb 12, will I be able to get a new site to download when we get this resolved? Thank you

I'm sorry Norm, I understand your frustration, I promise I'll try to solve the issue as soon as possible.

Thank you for trying. We assist our clients via web posts because we need to keep track of the assistance and it is easier because we can exchange personal details, screenshots and project files.
Please give me your '''' wsx5lic.log''' file, you will find it in the program folder. I will then be able to check what is going wrong.
Thank you!

Samantha, I did notice that when I went into the program files I did notice that there was the Website X 5 program and then the Website X5 Demo also installed.  When I go to the control panel manage programs it does not show the demo version.  I don't know if this could be the problem but I just noticed it.  Thank you.

Dear Norm,

thank you once again for all the info, I really appreciate your cooperation.
Let's proceed as follows: Please delete your program from the computer and start again from zero. You need to make sure that demo version is gone. This could definitely be the cause of your problems. Please make sure you delete the file called ''Incomedia''. The file path should look something like this:

C:\Users\....yourname....AppData\Local\Incomedia

After, please launch the latest version of the program from this link, add your licence key and register with the same email then let me know what happens.
Thank you!

Samantha, that worked I was able to open the program and put the product key in and all is good.  Now I had purchased the Website X5 Template Pack 902 (key ***)  The e-mail with the download site and Key states the download site was available until 2-21-2012,  I removed all Incomeadia stuff trying to fix this problem, now I am unable to get to the download site for the template pack.  I have looked in my download file on this site and it is not there.  How do I go about getting this back??  and Thank You for your assistance.  Norm

Hi Norm! Great! I'm glad the issue is fixed!

I have now created a Post with your name in order to give you the link to download your template pack, you will be able to find it here: http://answers.websitex5.com/post/25391 .

I did not add it to this post beacause I would then have to mark it as private and other users would not be able to see it anymore. It could be a useful tip for others.

Once you have downloaded your template pack please add the licence key and register with the same email then make sure you add it in the correct file path that should look something like this: C:\Program Files\WebSite X5 v9 - Evolution.

Your welcome!
