Sorry Ruud, i don't have enough credits anymore and i don t own the overlay menu. So i can't test for you at the moment.

Can it be that it only works online? Just try that, else you need to wait for someone that knows better or can try out for you.

I own the (optional) Overlay Menu. It works exactly as advertised, but the path to your menu must be absolute. When preparing (testing) a website, and before pointing the hosted domain I found the overlay menu did not work (eg www.reelobsession.com.au was actually www,.esahc.com/reelobsession.com.au) because I told WX5 the domain was www.reelobsession.com.au.  To test I had to tell it the truth (www.esahc.com/reelobsesion.com.au) otherwise the menu failed.

I think the coding of the optional overlay menu is a bit sloppy. It should work with relative menu rather than absolute address.

The standard menu of X5, in combination with my website, gives the comment from google "not mobile friendly".

So I am looking for an alternative for the menu.

Ruud, my apologies for the confusing answer, in step 5 the web address should look like this (ie the domain name)

The only other reasons I can think of that would cause the levels would not be visible is if you have marked them as hidden or if the levels are not linked anywhere (only levels assigned to an action will be visible)

For each level you need to go to properties

Then link to the page you wish to open, in this example level a will link to hidden page 2

I think incomedia needs to update this object, you should not manualy need to replace menu items.

I made a new menu item, copy all the below pages and level to new menu item and i keep seeing less and less menu items.

Maybe i dont understand the workaround?

i get this with overlay in the menu of 2 smallest viewports:

Fabio, credo che se inserisci il collegamento sul Livello, allora il Livello te lo fa vedere nel Menù Overlay e al click vai sulla pagina collegata ma non ti fa vedere tutte le altre pagine all'interno di quel livello se ci sono più pagine.

As you can see in my example it does not work, and that's a brand new test project from latest version.

Also in used project it does not work for me in latest pro version.

The overlay menu has nu use if it does not support levels.

It looks like if you use the menu item as a seperator to make your menu more compact and create usefull parts/chapters for your website then it does not shop up, only if you fill in some function then it shows up, but i dont want a function, i just want to make chapters on my website so that customer can browse more easily and faster to correct page.

It says in the market place this:

Overlay Menu

Create a Hamburger Menu including the items in the first level. Once opened, the menu overlays all the available space on the page.

I think a level menu is an item....

Purtroppo la questione è stata affrontata con Incomedia molte volte ma la stessa Incomedia ha spiegato che il menù Overlay funziona SOLO con le voci di primo livello e non con i Livelli che contengono dei submenù al loro interno.
Però Fabio pare ci sia riuscito, il video è molto chiaro. Io non ci sono riuscito. Non saprei...

If you set an property in the level menu (like a link) then it shows up.

But this is also strange behavior, if you take wordpress it just shows everything like a menu should, what is a menu worth if it does not display all menu items? or sometimes level and sometimes not?

this is a menu item so it should work like the original menu, i use it to make it more clear for smaller viewports but if the menu itself is different from the original then imho the object useless.

But let's wait for Incomedia, i will set this post for them to react.

yes i have seen that also, imho it should exactly like the normal menu, i want to use it for moble views onlo so i have 2 highest viewports normal menu and 2 lowest viewports overlay, but if it does not is the same then it makes no use having it, it is a shame because it displays way better with overlay on smaller screens. Google likes this also much better. :) lets wait and see......

Yes Kol, maybe, but then the normal menu will do as well.  

It's especialy the jumping and going from 1 sub page to another what makes the normal menu for smart phone (test is also better with smartphone then with pc on small screen) work very confusing for visitors (i got multiple complaints / remarks), the overlay would be much better for this.
