Page path clickable breadcrumb  en

I have a problem

In earlier versions the pagepath was clickable - this seem not to be the case anymore. Now the page path/breadcrumb only show the path - it is not navigate-able any more.

This was a very useful function.

Is it removed?

Is it a bug?

Is it me that cannot find out how it should function?

Hello John,
Everything alright?

I remember a threath with same subject and quistion and even code? I will look for it.

In the meantime i thought it was that if you use folders the links are followed.....

found it:

https://helpcenter.websitex5.com/en/post/236382

I realy think it should be standard, maybe change it to IDEA post?

Hello Andre

Yes - things alright - no virus of any kind. But maybe my X5 have got a virus.

I have a test here made with Incomedia WebSite X5 Pro 2019.2.8

https://www.bramminginfo.dk/museet.html

In the left upper corner you can see the breadcrumb - and it is clickable so you can move up the levels.

Here https://www.bramminginfo.dk/bramny/side-10.html I have a testproject made in the latest version.

The breadcrumbs is NOT clickable

I have moved the breadcrumb with some code but also in another project where it is used the "normal" way it is not clickable.

Hello Andre

I will not make it into an idea post. It is a function that already has been in the X5 - for unknown reasons it is removed. I think they should bring it back. They cannot just remove useful functions. I know they do, but they should not. I will hereby report it as a bug.

I found out that if the levels have links, then it functions. Should have known that.

OK John, I will set it for Incomedia to check.

And i think you are correct these pages should show up as links, i probably forgot that it worked as that before. anyway it seems like a standard function and on all websites that i find these, these links are then also all clickkable, it seems only normal behavior.

Hopefully Incomedia can make it again like it was, i have seen more post about same issue.

Hello Andre

I think nothing has changed. I just forgot that the links is neccessary. I have a feeling that it has to be so.

However - I strongly suggest INCOMEDIA to mention this in the help-text for the page-path - That the "breadcrumb" will become "links", and can be used for smart navigation - but only when the level contains a link.

In my 2. example I have made the levels as links and therefore it can be used as navigation.

Hello Axel

Yes - it is clickable now. As I wrote I gave the levels a link, and now it functions.
