Allow users to Register without buying  en

Hi.  I am using the Shopping Cart system (for an online magazine) successfully, with Automatic User Registration.   It works well, with me assigning registered user accounts to groups, and giving those groups access to certain locked pages on the site.

However, I want to be able to give some users access to locked pages on my website, without them having to buy anything or using the Shopping Cart.

In other words, I want to be able to take them directly to the 'Register a New Account' form that is used within the Shopping Cart process. ... so that I can simply allocate their account to a group.

If i put up a 'Login' widget on a page, this asks for the User's existing account details.  If the user types in credentials that are not valid, a message is posted that the user details are incorrect, but then the system also displays the 'Create Account' form.

(See attachment)

I want to jump straight to this form (in particular the 'Register a New Account' form on the right), without having to enter incorrect credentials first.

Is this possible ?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Aleksej,

Thanks very much for this.  I hadn't realised that the 'Restricted Access' page was referenceable in that way.

I'm simply going to add a button to my website that links to the 'Restricted Access' page - i.e. that offers the ability to register without needing to make it a menu option.

... but the principle is the same, so thanks again for your input.

Regards, Jem Cotton
