I added an ad box message to my landing page 2 days ago and all went well. Then yesterday I went to update the image and I got this error message. I noticed that a new update was available so I updated my software and tried to load the project again - it worked!  I thought phew "it must have been requiring me to to the update".  I changed the image - all good. Then today I tried to load again and I got the same error message! But this time there's no update for me to do as the software is fully up to date. I've tried and tried and it won't get any further. I'm not techy. I have no idea why this happening as I didn't change anything on the website apart from adding an ad box and I didn't change anything on my laptop. My website saves to onedrive following the incomedia path C:\Users\orlac\OneDrive\Documents\Incomedia\WebSite X5 - Pro\

Please help - this is a really important website I created for a charity and we're about to make a huge announcement this Thursday 29th April. I have a version of this project dated 28th March but I'm afraid to update and load that in case the same problem happens and I'm left with no backup.

Many thanks,

Orla

Also, my websiteX5 programme won't shut down when I try to close it since 2 days ago. I have to go to taskmanager to shut it down. Strange...?

Hi Orla,

I just checked your website at 11:22 today 25/04/21 and the advert is there see:

A lot of people on the forum advise you not to store your folder on OneDrive as that seems to create a lot of

problems. Suggest that uou move your folder C:\Users\orlac\OneDrive\Documents\Incomedia\WebSite X5 - Pro\

to say user documents on the C:\ drive.

Hope that this helps.

Bestr wishes,

Jim

Hi Jim - yes.  I was able to get this up after I updated the software yesterday but today I got the same path error message but no ability to update the software (as it's already up to date) so I can't even open the project. I need to replace these ads each day as it's a teaser campaign until a key announcement on Thur 29th.  Thanks in advance for any help you might have! Orla :-)

Hello Orla

usually, when such a message pops up it is due to some kind of antivirus or Windows permission which is blocking you from opening your project

First of all, try these steps:

1_ Disable the antivirus completely just temporarily

2_ Start the software by right-clicking on the Icon and selecting Run as Administrator

By doing this, does the project open?

Keep me posted here

Thank you

Stefano

Hi Stefano - not sure if you can see my follow up question as I still can't launch the project unless I disable antivirus and run as administrator.... Thanks!

Orla :-)
